We started off 2012 with Jaclyn & Ben's wedding event! We had the pleasure of coordinating their special day and here are a few pics of their lovely celebration {provided by Andy Holzman Photography}..

Some of the fun highlights included a sweet Cake Bar!!! Guests indulged their sweet tooths with a delicious selection of 8 different cakes. Towards the end of the night, Jaclyn & Ben walked through a crowd of friends and family waving sparklers as they departed! It was a real sweet moment.

Christmas Around The World...

Happy New Year friends! We ended 2011 with a "Christmas Around The World" themed holiday event! Our client had a such a fun concept planned out for their annual bash and we were so excited to take part in it. Here are just a few pics of our tablescape designs. We actually styled 5 very different tablescapes themed around various countries that included China, France, Mexico, Hawaii, USA & Jamaica. Each table also included table cards for each guests that shared Christmas traditions of every country. We really enjoyed finding all the unique pieces for every tablescape. It was such a fun theme!

It's a citrus kind of love..

We just couldn't wait one more day to share these beautiful images from our recent Citrus Splash inspired wedding captured by Laurel Isle Photography. We had the great pleasure of styling & coordinating the wedding of a fun loving couple Ray & Sara. We met them over a year ago and must say, we truly enjoyed all of the fun moments of getting to know them throughout the planning process.
The color palette was all about vibrant citrus shades such as lemony-yellow, lime green, and orangey-orange {so perfect for a summer wedding}. The ceremony was styled with fun and colorful parasols that doubled as decor as well as shade for guests. We also custom created a framed backdrop with a colorful fabric print for picture perfect shots of the Mr. & Mrs. as they said "I do".

The tablescape decor was a blend of all things citrusy! Our centerpieces varied with lemons and limes and were adorned with vibrant green and yellow pom-pon flowers. Each guests had their very own clementine or lime flavored Izze Drink as a guest favor. We had fun creating "Hoo-Ray" flags for guests to wave throughout the night.

The kiddos weren't left out of all the fun and festivities for this wedding! They were treated to an entire area designated just for them, complete with their very own candy station, bubble machine, bouncing balls and activity center.

Oh, and we can't forget about the fun photobooth set up with tons of fabulous props!

We wish Ray & Sara the best as they start their journey as husband and wife. Cheers!

Pretty Paper Prints: You're Invited to love, laugh, and {play loud!}

We designed these super duper fun wedding invitations for a very awesome couple. Julie and Mike share a mutual love for music which we noticed right away upon meeting them. They love attending concerts near and far so we decided to make their wedding invitations into a fun musical experience. The wedding invitation is designed just like a cd album cover complete with a collection of songs reflective of their courtship.
The front cover was designed with individual pictures of Mike and Julie as children (so sweet!). The reception card includes a playful pencil drawn map with fun landmarks and the rsvp card requests a creative response from each guest, how fun is that? What a wonderful treat to receive in the mailbox. Looking forward to their wedding in September!

An enchanting Sweet 15

We are so excited to share this post. This weekend we had the great pleasure of styling a very special {Sweet 15} Celebration! The birthday princess wore a beautiful "Cinderella" gown, which was an inspiration for the design concept. Read all the details below:
We wanted to transform the venue into a magical, enchanting getaway, fit for any fairy tale princess!
For the tablescape design, we had custom fabric overlays created with a fun and bold print. Our centerpieces were reminiscent of magic crystal balls on elegant black pedestals. As the lights dimmed, our centerpieces glowed and added a warm, enchanting feel to the evening. The place cards at each guests setting as well as our custom designed table numbers all complimented the design of the {Sweet 15} invitation {which was featured in a previous "Pretty Paper Prints" post}.

The court of honor table made such a bold statement with the same custom fabric overlay, and an assortment of vases with candles and vibrant floral arrangements.

A {Sweet 15} celebration wouldn't be complete without a {Sweet Station} all in the name of the birthday princess' honor! Guests were treated to an array of candies, suitable for any sweet tooth.
Happy 15th Birthday Berlynn, thank you for allowing us to be part of this very special celebration! We hope you had time of your life and will remember this day forever! <3

Mass Military Wedding: {Sea Inspired Candy/Dessert Station}

This past weekend, we had the honor of styling a Sea Inspired Candy/Dessert station for a wonderful wedding event honoring 21 military couples hosted by K-Earth 101. The Mass Military Wedding was held at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. We enjoyed working with all the talented vendors especially Wenda Evans of More Than Just Weddings {we love you Wenda!} and meeting all the beautiful brides. We also had a chance to work with our talented friends of Fork In The Road Catering who whipped up the delicious cupcakes, scrumptious mini vanilla wafers and the beautiful wedding cake. We also incorporated tons of sweets including fudge, sugar cookies, madeleines and meringues. Take a look!

My Fabulous Quince

We wrapped up the month of March with a colorful display of confections and eye candy! We had the pleasure of styling a presentation by Marketing Concepts for Verizon's "My Fabulous Quince" campaign. We helped in creating a visual experience that captured the essence of a modern Quince which included tons of vibrant decor.

The fabulous cake made by Fork In The Road Catering took centerstage on our colorful sweet station. We transformed the typical conference room into a festive environment with sweets, favors, beverages, ambiant lighting and table top decor.

XXV Celebration

Here's a special event we couldn't wait to share with you..One very special lady whom we are honored to call our dear friend celebrated her 25th birthday this past weekend. We were honored to style her beautiful XXV celebration. The invitation as always, is the first introduction to an event. We wanted to create something sophisticated with just enough sass (much like the birthday girl). The design carried out through various elements of the party including the striking light gobo reflected over the dance floor. Cocktail tables were adorned with beautiful floral arrangements designed by the talented mother of the birthday girl.

The dessert station was in one word: STUNNING. It displayed not one, but three mini cakes! Our talented friends of Fork In The Road Catering incorporated such beautiful detail that made it almost too good to eat (but we couldn't resist, of course).
Our sweets included sugar cookies that also had the XXV logo, ribbon candy, our signature cake pops, silver chocolates and delicious red velvet cupcakes.

Fork In The Road Catering also provided the tasty appetizers for the evening which included lobster deviled eggs, french onion dumplings, and chive wrapped apple bites to name a few.
Great vibes resonated throughout the night provided by one of our faves, DJ Jahkova!

And what party would be complete without a photobooth? We created a glamorous backdrop with fun props that was a sure hit throughout the night..Laurelisle Photography captured the photo ops and fabulous poses! We ended the night with a few pics with the birthday girl! We love you Larissa!!

A Rustic "I Do"

We are so thrilled to share images from our very first wedding of the year. This past weekend we had the great pleasure of styling & coordinating a rustic inspired wedding held at Green Mountain Ranch. Our bride and groom share a love for the outdoors and all its natural beauty which gave way for the design inspiration.
The lakeside ceremony was simply beautiful. The scenery of the mountain top was such a breathtaking backdrop as Jody and Ralph exchanged their sweet I Do's. We aligned tree trunks down the aisle and created a delicate ribbon curtain to frame the couple under the trees.

Inspired by the beautiful scenery, we added delicate, chic decor that complemented the rustic nature of the outdoors. The reception was styled with Manzanita trees and fabric floral arrangements.

The "sips and sweets" station was a guest favorite throughout the night! Guests were able to indulge in some of their favorite sweets while sipping on their custom flavored coffee, hot cocoa topped with mini marshmallows or a cup of sweet hot tea.

We are so honored to have been a part of such a beautiful union. Congratulations to Jody and Ralph!

75th Celebration Sugar Bar

This past weekend, we had the pleasure of styling this lovely sugar bar for a surprise 75th Birthday Celebration! The invitation we designed set the creative tone for the styling of this very special sweet station. We used a delicate color palette of soft pink, light blue, white and silver accents of course. The sugar bar was complete with champagne bubbles, embellished sugar cookies and cake truffles to name a few. It was a sweet surprise indeed for our guest of honor.

A very chic "Doux Amour" tablescape

In the spirit of sweet amour, we designed an elegant and chic tablescape that whisks us away to a charming chateau in France. As we approach wedding season, we felt inspired to bring a beautiful and classy color scheme for all you brides planning away...
This French inspired vintage design would fit perfectly for any occasion, perhaps a garden wedding or bridal shower. The cream and soft pink color palette flirts delicately with the patterned ribbon treatment on the mahogany chiavari chairs and ivory napkins shaped in a pretty bow (so sweet). The flower vases were adorned with custom "vintage parfum" labels to add a touch of flair.

"Batter Up" Baby Shower

Happy New Year everyone. We wanted to kick off the year with a home run! We recently styled a baby shower fit for a little all star. The parents to be are HUGE baseball fans, specifically Boston Red Sox fans. They came to us with this theme to welcome their (soon to arrive) little slugger.
The shower was designed with "vintage baseball" in mind.. We created mini stadium like centerpieces with custom signage including the signature Boston B. The B fit perfectly with it being Baby Benjamin's initial. We adorned the stadium with vintage baseballs and lined the field with astroturf.
The dessert station included all the concessions you would find at a ball game complete with peanuts, Boston baked beans, cracker jacks, to name a few. The guests enjoyed a refreshing bottle of Coke along with their mini apple pies and baseball shaped cookies.

The arrival of a little one is an exciting moment in a parents life. We were truly honored to share in the excitement with a beautiful couple such as Fernando and Susie as they planned their baby shower.

We were asked to create a butterfly themed candy/dessert station along with centerpieces for each table. For our displays, we were inspired by the delicate and beautiful nature of the butterfly and how it is much like the beauty of a child. We adorned our delectable dessert/candy station with fluttering butterflies everywhere, including the edible ones that landed on our mini cupcakes. Our centerpieces were custom created with baby camila in mind, complete with "welcome camila" signs and beautiful, vibrant butterflies!

Hello Kitty Themed Dessert Station

We had such a great time designing this vibrant dessert station over the weekend. Our client wanted to have a Hello Kitty themed party for her beautiful daughter Belgini and it was simply adorable! We must admit, we felt like we were 6 again while working on this theme.

The mouth watering sweets had the adults swooning as much as the kiddies! The dessert station included all types of sweets from cake pops to strawberry marshmallows. We also provided refreshing strawberry lemonade as well as limeade to quench every kiddies thirst.

A Celebration for two..

We had the great pleasure of planning a surprise party for two gorgeous sisters. When we were approached by their mother about planning this special day, we were simply ecstatic and eager to get the party design started! We immediately thought to blend sexy chic with an uptown flair. So where shall we begin? Well, the invitation was the first introduction to our design concept. We chose fuschia, purple and black as our central color scheme. We fell in love with the idea of using a crown to symbolize the uptown chic socialite which is where the evening's theme came to life..

This intimate affair was held at their parents home, so you can imagine the surprise when their backyard was transformed into a chic lounge with beautiful draping and ambient lighting. The dance floor was illuminated with a custom gobo that tied into the theme of the night. We also designed a custom presswall complete with a red carpet for photo ops with the birthday girls!

The night was filled with movement and excitement as guests strolled down the red carpet, grooved on the dance floor, enjoyed a specialty drink at the martini bar and socialized in an intimate lounge. Scenes of a vintage Marilyn Monroe film were projected throughout the night as a backdrop for a timeless evening.

The night was truly unforgettable and one the birthday girls will forever cherish..

Graduation Luncheon at the Rose Bowl

We had a wonderful time honoring the graduates of Providence College at their luncheon celebration. We designed the centerpieces, photo backdrop, candy/dessert station and custom designed photo cards for every guest. We also included a custom backdrop for the candy station that was simply eye candy.

The luncheon took place under the courtyard of Champions at the Rose Bowl. It was a beautiful backdrop for a memorable event.

Anniversary by the beach...

A few weeks ago we had the honor of styling an intimate anniversary dinner for a lovely couple in Malibu. These lovebirds enjoy spending time at the beach so it was the perfect setting for this special occasion.
We custom designed all the elements for the set up that included a vibrant orange and gold beach linen, teal plush pillows and table runner. We also provided the couple with wish lanterns to set a drift over the Malibu Ocean. We designed place cards with a beautiful poem and styled their dinner table with the essence of the beach.

We themed our dessert station with a soft and delicate color palette a la Charm..We were thrilled to have caught all the blushing bride's attention as they first walked in to the courtyard of the venue..

We are tickled yellow to share our recent photo shoot inspired by the freshness of SPRING! We welcome Spring with fresh flowers and lemon treats! Bright hues of turquoise, yellow and raspberry set the tone for the picturesque ambiance. Take a look at the colorful scenery as captured through the lens of the talented Laurelisle Photography..

The vibrant color palette was inspired by the floral printed fabric used as a runner for the tablescape. This design can work perfectly for any outdoor spring occasion; bridal shower, wedding, engagement party or just a fun get together with friends.
You can add a unique touch to your outdoor event with simple but fun details such as using mason jars for beverages (these can be rented at Party Rental King) and creating your own tic tac toe game cards for your guests to enjoy. We added our own DIY touch and created napkin adornments made out of card stock and also hung matching paper adornments under the tree.

For our dessert station, we created a zestful assortment of lemony treats. The goodies included mini bundt cakes, lemon bars, mini cupcakes, lemon cookies and candy. To wash it all down, a glass of ice cold lemonade will do the trick.

Last week we had the pleasure in collaborating with a talented team of vendors for the Sweetest Perfection Showcase event. Our friends at Party Rental King hosted the evening at their showroom in Santa Fe Springs.
We styled two rooms with two different themes inspired by fantasy and enchantment..

Our first room was a colorful and delectable candy garden filled with a variety of sweets and a playful cake designed by Cake Fusion.

After satisfying their sweet tooth, guests strolled inside an intimate dinner for 2 surrounded by an enchanted forest. The room captured the raw elements of nature with a delicate touch of chic decor.

Charm also incorporated various design and print elements for the evening..from the pressboard, to the table numbers and other embellishments in between..

...and don't you just love our shiny silver balls? Indeed, it was a night of sweetest perfection. Many more to come.

We were busy bees this past weekend with our second event of the year. Senior Prom was the theme for the fundraiser Gala we coordinated and styled. The color palette was a combination of black, red and platinum. We wanted to capture a modern day senior prom with a touch of elegance. Take a look...

This Senior Prom was fully equipped with sweets, sweets & more sweets! The guests treated themselves to all their sugar cravings at the candy station. This is a part of our job that we really enjoy.

This was a wonderful experience that we shared with our great friends at Fork In The Road Catering. Looking forward to more events this year!

Airplane & Helicopter Party

We recently styled a very special birthday for a charming little 1yr old.
The party was themed around Andres' love for flying objects: airplanes and helicopters.
All the little pilots were treated First Class upon arrival to the pilots lounge where they received an exclusive pilot badge and their very own airplane & helicopter to assemble. Each table was topped with a colorful centerpiece that included flying objects and cloud clusters on a bright blue linen. We also hung clouds over the tables with airplanes and helicopters flying over the room.

We created a fun pilot snack table full of all the yummy treats fit for a Pilot. Pilot peanut bags were designed with Andres' initials "AJL" as the airline label (after all he is the captain).

After all the flying, each pilot received a luggage box to depart with. Flying first class has never been so fun.

Charm wrapped up our photo shoot this weekend for the upcoming launch of our website.
We just have to say that it was the most wonderful experience ever! We couldn't be happier with the results of our shoot. Our vintage & chic theme came to life!

We love the fun flair of umbrellas at weddings. Bridesmaids can carry pretty ruffled or vintage umbrellas down the aisle as an option to the tradition floral bouquet. It's a sassy accessory that can also be used by your guests when the weather is a concern. They look simply delightful in wedding photographs. There's a few companies that rent them as well. We'll be renting a few vintage umbrellas for our upcoming shoot from Bella Umbrella.

Fire Hot Dessert Station!

Charm had the pleasure of creating a FUN and FIREY dessert station to honor a brave firefighter!
The red hot dessert station included a variation of delectables such as chocolate dipped pretzels, sprinkled brownie pops, chocolate covered marshmallows, sugar cookies and red hot candy!
Our color scheme was inspired by the bright palette of a firetruck which made for a very colorful display. The guests enjoyed the "fire-station" and were able to take home some of their favorite sweets in the custom tagged favor bags!

U2 360 Tour & Charm!

It was a "BEAUTIFUL DAY" for a red hot candy station!

Charm was thrilled to be a part of the U2 360 tour at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena this past Sunday. We were asked to create a candy station for the guests to enjoy in the VIP Press Box.
To our delight, the candy station was a hit with all the guests! Mayor Villaraigosa enjoyed red fruit slices and rock candy, while actor Terry Crews satisfied his sweet tooth with a bag full of goodies. We decided on a monochromatic look for the station to complement the U2 concert color scheme.
Once it was all set up, the Charm dolls were able to enjoy the concert from the press box view!!! It was an amazing concert!! On to the next one!

Le CHAPEAU Fashion Week After Party Hosted by CHARM

This week, Charm had the pleasure of hosting the exclusive After Party event for the fabulous designer Alakazia. He showcased his hat couture line "Le Chapeau" at Fashion Week on Wednesday. The show was immaculate and colorful. Stylist Mr. Bradshaw worked his magic styling the models on the runway.

Girl Crazy

Three months of long, hard work finally paid off. Last night Charm, along with We Are,threw the social event of the season. In celebration of Gunnie Sanotchra & T-Nasty's collaboration: Girl Crazy. The night was full of good drinks, great people, awesome music, and, of course, beautiful girls! The décor was classy, and modern; a great complement to the futuristic style of the album. Pictures will be up soon (I'll try to hurry, I promise!!).
The night also included a performance from the men of the hour: Gunnie Sanotchra & T-Nasty, and man, if you missed out, you missed out! It truly was a phenomenal performance--from the start, they had the crowd hyped, and the energy never died down. Good work, guys!
At the end of it all, it was a job extremely well done, if you ask me (or any of the fortunate guests, for that matter)!

The Charm dolls got invited out to Woodland Hills yesterday to be part of the Hey Crystal music video shoot for Glory for the People. The song was amazing (none of us had gotten tired of the song after hearing it all day!), the set up was dope, the crew was on point, and everyone was super friendly. And, I think it's safe to say everyone was a fan of Charm's Southwest egg rolls. So, if you're into good music, check out the link to their Myspace.
